Bay Area Legal Aid
Bay Area Legal Aid offers free legal advice and representation to low-income individuals facing housing issues, including eviction, discrimination, and tenant rights violations. Their team helps tenants understand their rights and navigate complex housing laws to protect themselves and their families.

ECHO Housing provides tenant and landlord counseling, eviction prevention, and fair housing education across the Bay Area. Their team assists with disputes, helps prevent unlawful evictions, and ensures tenants are treated fairly under housing laws.

2-1-1 Homeless or At Risk
If you’re homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, dialing 2-1-1 connects you with a trained specialist who can refer you to emergency housing, legal assistance, or financial support programs in your community—available 24/7.

Contra Costa County Affordable Housing
Contra Costa County’s Affordable Housing division provides information on low-income housing options, rental assistance programs, and affordable apartment listings. They can also connect tenants to local agencies for ongoing housing support.

Bureau of Unclaimed Property
The Bureau of Unclaimed Property helps Californians recover security deposits, refunds, or unclaimed funds that may be owed after moving or closing accounts. Tenants can search the state database to claim property that rightfully belongs to them.
