These local and state resources provide free or low-cost guidance, legal support, and case assistance to help you understand your rights and responsibilities when it comes to family law matters such as custody, divorce, child support, and more. Whether you need forms, legal advice, or mediation, the following organizations can help you take the next step with confidence.

Superior Court of Contra Costa County

The Superior Court of Contra Costa County handles all family law cases, including divorce, custody, visitation, and support orders. Their website provides access to court forms, filing instructions, and case information for individuals representing themselves or working with an attorney.

California Department of Child Support Services (DCSS)

The State of California DCSS helps parents establish, collect, and enforce child support and medical support orders. They also provide payment tracking and modification services for families receiving or paying support.
