Dear Prospective and Current Students,

Contra Costa Medical Career College its primary business owners, Stacey Orozco and Bulmaro Orozco, are thrilled to announce our proposed agreement with Legacy Education, Inc. Which is in the process of acquiring the College. Per 34 C.F.R. § 600.20(g)(4), the Department of Education requires that an institution notify prospective and current students at least 90 days in advance of the closing of any transaction which results in the change of ownership.

The transaction will result in Legacy Education taking full control of the College on or after December 16, 2024. This timeline is, of course, contingent upon completing the necessary approval processes with the College’s regulatory agencies, including the California Bureau of
Private Postsecondary Education, Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training and the United States Department of Education.

Legacy Education possesses more than fifteen years of experience in the higher education industry. Based in California, Legacy Education has been helping ambitious and capable students excel in medical programs offered by its private educational institutions, as detailed on its website. Legacy Education shares the vision held by the College and its oversight agencies: postsecondary education should go beyond theory and knowledge and also provide a real world practical learning experience for students. Legacy Education currently offers various programs of study in the medical field. As we look forward to the future, we are excited and optimistic about
the new opportunities and advancements that Legacy Education’s ownership will bring.

We will keep you updated as this process progresses and we will schedule meetings where Legacy Education representatives will visit with students, either virtually or on-campus. In the meantime, please feel free to send any questions you may have to stacey@ccmcc.edu.

Best regards,
Stacey Orozco President
